Investment Services Public Markets Investment Services Public Markets, or ISPM, is an integrated team that provides investment service support for public market investment activities strategically and tactically. The team is responsible for business management functions for all public market investment strategy groups, as well as GIC's global trade operations, custody control and asset servicing such as income entitlements, mergers and acquisitions and other corporate events of our underlying investments, futures and derivative operations, collateral management, pricing and rates, market data and rebalancing operations. The coverage extends across a spectrum of products such as equities, bonds, money market, foreign exchange, futures, collateralized securities and other derivatives.
External Managers Department The External Managers Department seeks to identify and develop relationships with the best breed of global investment managers to benefit GIC at large, and at the same time capturing investment opportunities to outperform our benchmarks.
We are looking for suitable candidates for a Business Support Assistant role to support the External Managers Department. This will be a contractual arrangement, there will be potential opportunity to convert or extend depending on individual performance and business requirements.
Role Responsibilities Document Management
- Assist the team with compilation of research reports from external parties.
- Analyze and extract required information from public documents (announcements, annual reports).
- Provide support on maintaining and updating data sets, conversion of documents/ data from pdfs to excel.
- Maintain and upload investment and research notes onto internal repository platform.
- Generate and prepare regular reports needed for business.
- Coordinate across teams on inputs to research reports and papers.
- Prepare data spreadsheets and assist in organization of PowerPoint presentations.
Administrative and Team Support
- Providing administrative & organizational support across various business initiative and projects.
- Carrying out other ad-hoc administrative tasks in a timely and professional manner.
- May need to provide back-up coverage for secretariat tasks such as organizing meetings.
Skills and Qualifications - Minimum Diploma in Business Administration or equivalent
- Background in Banking and Finance or Information Technology is an added advantage.
- Highly efficient in handling and organizing large amount of data and documents
- Highly proficient in core business tools and applications such as PDF, Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
- Knowledge of Bloomberg and institutional repository systems are good to have.
- Experience of executing and managing key administrative processes.
- Excellent attention to detail
- A flexible and proactive approach, with strong time management and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal capabilities.
