Position Description
Background: The successful candidate will be joining the Global Rates and Currencies technology team, which has a proven track record of delivering critical front-office trading solutions to the Global Rates and Currencies businesses. The candidate will be working in Global Rates and Currencies technology, helping to analyze, design, build and deploy multi-tier, high availability systems, globally deployed systems. The current team structure is global, spread over London, Singapore and the US. As a group, we communicate at all levels within the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Enhance and deploy existing Application support by the team
  • The Candidate should be flexible to switch between Projects and along with 3rd level Production support to resolve issues.
  • Understand and analyze Market Data requirement
  • Understand financial business requirements
  • Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to these problems
  • Adding automation to QA Testing Scenarios for enhancements handled

Key Requirements
  • Development is primarily C++ based, with peripheral technologies including TIBCO Rendezvous (RV), Sybase, UNIX shell scripting, Java, Perl, python, and middleware based on IBM MQ Series, CORBA and FIX. The candidate's repertoire should include knowledge of client-server/distributed technologies.
  • Hands on developer with server side development skills in C++ (not C), with at least 2+ years of working experience in C++, preferably on Linux/UNIX.
  • Business domain knowledge in interest rates swaps
  • Scripting experience (Shell, Perl, Python, Ruby etc.)
  • Experience of working in Front office systems
  • Background in finance is desirable but not essential
  • Understanding of Core Java and Java Swing
