Java Software Engineer, Electronic Communications Technology - Associate

As a member of our SoftwareEngineering Group you will dive head-first into creating innovative solutions thatadvance businesses and careers. You'll join an inspiring and curious team oftechnologists dedicated to improving the design, analytics, development,coding, testing and application programming that goes into creating highquality software and new products. You'll be tasked with keeping the team andother key stakeholders up to speed on the progress of what's being developed.Coming in with an understanding of the importance of end-to-end softwaredevelopment-such as Agile frameworks-is key. And best of all, you'll be workingwith and sharing ideas, information and innovation with our global team oftechnologists from all over the world.

This role provides the opportunityto be part of a global Compliance Technology team that spans multiple lines ofbusiness within JP Morgan Chase. As part of the Compliance Technology group, wewill deliver technology solutions to capture and monitor electroniccommunications used by internal Surveillance and Legal departments.

You will be joining the ElectronicCommunications Retention and Supervision (ECRS) Technology group that willarchive electronic communications globally and will provide functionality forinternal Surveillance and Legal departments to collect relevant documents forcompliance and legal purposes.

Thisrole requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:
  • Advanced knowledge of application, data and infrastructure architecture disciplines
  • Understanding of architecture and design across all systems
  • Working proficiency in developmental toolsets
  • Understanding of software skills such as business analysis, development, maintenance and software improvement
  • Documenting all test artifacts including full audit and transparency of traceability from requirements to tests, and evidence of test planning and execution.
  • Automate manual test steps using software such as Selenium and programming language, such as Java to improve testing efficiency and to increase testing coverage.
  • Proficiency in one or more general purpose programming languages:
    • Java
    • C#
  • Advance Knowledge in automation tools: Selenium Tool using Java, JMeter and UFT
  • Ability to analyze functional requirements and develop positive and negative test cases.
  • Ability to collaborate with high-performing teams and individuals throughout the firm to accomplish common goals
  • Strong analytical mind and approach to problem solving
  • Able to work independently as a self-starter as well as within a team dynamic
  • Good communication skills (both written and verbal) and presentation skills
  • BS/BA degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant development experience on medium to large scale software projects
  • Experience in one or more of the following business and technical areas:
    • Electronic Communications Surveillance, Voice Surveillance and/or eDiscovery
    • Compliance in the financial industry
  • Technical experience either as a developer or as a Production Support in electronic communication channels or Voice Surveillance
  • Advance Knowledge in automation tools: Selenium Tool using Java, JMeter and UFT
  • Working experience with Agile SDLC
