Description

The Key Management Centre (KMC) is supporting cryptographic key management and Cryptographic Devices for all businesses running applications in the global CTI Data Centers. The KMC team provides Subject Matter Expert support and guidance on cryptographic technology for all Business as well as providing On-Behalf Key Management Support for all cryptographic key owners.   
Subject Matter expert for the Key Management Team (KMC) located in Germany:
  • Manages cryptographic devices and keys according the Citi standards or business requirement and overall hardware protected encryption system security requirements
  • Provide expertise on cryptographic hardware and keys
  • Provide procedures and guidelines for the operation of cryptographic environments
  • Anticipates potential delays and refers the need for corrective action to the team leader
  • Refers upward requirements and recommendations to upgrade the technical environment where it will otherwise be inadequate
  • Decides how to effectively resolve production problems
  • Identifies risks and in-compliances and decides how to ensure business awareness and/or escalation
Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver and support Key Management and overall cryptographic security in close conjunction with businesses, application development, system engineering departments and 3rd party contacts all over the world
  • Implement and maintain the Key Management hard and software
  • Key Custodian for businesses and 3rd party trust centres
  • Responsible for secure implementation and handling of cryptographic devices and cryptographic device administration tasks
  • Responsible for secure implementation and handling of cryptographic keys within hardware protected cryptographic encryption systems
  • Compliance with internal / external regulatory
  • Security risks are documented and escalated
  • Completes assigned tasks to schedule and agreed quality.
  • Effectively communicates and works with other engineering, development groups/business                                                                                                     
  • Participates in the production of design specifications as well as operational documentation
  • Provides technical guidance and direction in Cryptographic Key and Hardware Security Module management within technology infrastructure
  • Solves / works a variety of high-impact, high-profile problems /considerable business impact through in-depth evaluation of complex business processes, system processes and industry standards; performs root cause analyses
  • Performs impact analyses on project and development support activities
  • Participates in the review and approval of requirement documents.
  • Designs testing approaches
  • Designs and creates complex processes and reporting streams
  • Identifies and proactively resolves issues that could impact system performance, reliability and usability
  • Defines hardware requirements.
  • Examines and updates processes and procedures for hardware acquisition
  • Responsible for operational support of Hardware Security Modules and Key Management; checks work of lower level employees
  • Exhibits good knowledge of how specialization within Key / HSM Management contributes to the business
  • Acts as advisor or coach to new or lower level analysts; allocates work
  • Provides in-depth and sophisticated analysis with interpretive thinking to define problems and develop innovative solutions
  • Directly impacts the business through contribution to technical direction and strategic decisions for technology infrastructure

Qualifications

  • Must have at least 2 to 3 years in depth experienece with en enterprise key management soultion
  • At least 2 to 3 years' experience with Hardware Security Modules
  • Fluent in spoken and written English
  • Shows initiative and strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • The incumbent must possess a comprehensive knowledge of the data processing systems utilized within the Bank, additionally to gain as much knowledge as possible about cryptographic devices/systems in order to critical review implementation requirements of business provided solutions in terms of security risks, compliance and effectiveness
  • Strong all-rounder able to cover hardware protected encryption system skills
  • Good interpersonal, analytical, administrative, organizational & planning skills
  • Capable to working independently & proactively and able to prioritize work.
  • Ability to manage multiple activities
  • Wide spread fundamental skills of operating systems, network topologies and application interfaces
  • Skills about cryptographic devices, algorithms, principles and hardware protected environments
  • Senior level experience in a Technology Infrastructure role
  • Able to work effectively with business, project, other technical team staff and vendor or 3rd party contacts
  • Able to accommodate changes of task priorities and requirement and possessing the drive to accomplish tasks effectively and on time
  • Accommodating changes to task priorities and additions to requirements, potentially at short notice
  • Maintaining good communications with diverse project groups, including business personnel, development staff, vendor staff, technical staff located all over the world
