Regional Credit Head - Singapore
Candidate would have the primarily responsibility involving credit analysis and approval, and portfolio monitoring/management for the Regional Credit and Public Sector Portfolio for Singapore
Credit analysis and Approval: The candidate will review and approve in his capacity as ICG Risk SCO, credit memos (local corporate and GSG) received as part of periodic reviews or episodic transactions. Analysis will include meeting clients, assessment of the business and underlying industry, the financial performance, due diligence of financial projections and valuation, as also appropriateness of risk ratings. Overall, the candidate will be responsible for a portfolio of over $10 bn, covering more than 50 names including complex conglomerates.
Policy/Regulatory Work : The candidate needs to be familiar with extant Citi and ICG Risk Policies as also with MAS guidelines and will ensure full compliance. He/She would interact with FCR, IA and Franchise Governance teams and will provide the necessary information to them as also implement action items pertaining to ICG Risk.
Portfolio Management activities: The candidate will perform ongoing portfolio management activities including accuracy of ratings and classification, ongoing monitoring of tripwires/triggers/covenants, stress tests - both periodic and adhoc/thematic,and portfolio level risk reporting and monitoring.
Qualifications: - 12+ years of credit experience
- Experience in people management
- Comprehensive understanding of underlying industries and the Singapore business environment
- The candidate should be a Risk SCO
Education: - Bachelor's degree/University degree
- Master's degree preferred, knowledge of accounting/financial analysis necessary
