Business Function

Corporate and Investment Banking provides corporate customers with a full range of commercial banking products and services, including cash management services, current accounts, time deposits, trade finance, working capital finance, term loans and foreign exchange. Job Purpose

Job purpose entails formulating marketing strategies, leading TMT industry coverage efforts and driving clients' relationship, origination and execution of mandates across various corporate banking and investment banking products with strong focus on Structured /Acquisition Finance, Financial Sponsor transactions. In the course of work, it is also a key responsibility to promote DBS' franchise and to focus on marketing for new clients to build up the TMT portfolio with a view to expand customer base to increase revenue from interest and fee income.

Responsibilities
  • To develop DBS' TMT franchise, in terms of overall group strategies and client focus.
  • To establish coverage and relationship with TMT companies across DBS Core Markets and connectivity markets
  • To originate various products covering Structured Finance, Debt Capital Markets, Equity Capital Markets & M &A Advisory. To lead origination and execution of these mandates across TMT client in Asia.
  • Responsible for origination and execution of Cash & Trade (Supply Chain, Structure Trade Finance, Accounts Receivables Purchase and T & M products.
  • To supervise and train up junior bankers in terms of origination, technical and execution skills.
  • To identify pertinent credit related issues, and work out viable financing solution for client
  • To develop business strategies and maintain discipline in planning of daily activities to conform to long-term vision and direction of the team
Requirements
  • Masters Degree holder in Finance, Economics or related discipline
  • Minimum 10 years relevant experience in corporate & investment banking, involving loan syndication, debt capital markets, equity capital markets and merger & acquisition advisory related transactions.
  • Good understanding of corporate & investment banking suite of products.
  • Good communication skills
  • Strong leadership skill with experience in managing and leading deal team in origination and execution
  • Knowledge of accounting and finance, financial modelling and business presentation will be an advantage
  • Results-oriented, resourceful and strong business connections in identifying and developing business opportunities. Track records and experience in this aspect will be an advantage.
  • Strong preference will be given to bankers with TMT background
  • Strong credit and financial analytical skills, experience in industry research
  • Knowledge of accounting and finance, financial modelling and business presentation will be an advantage
  • Sound understanding of regulatory fundamental financing framework in DBS six core markets will be a plus
