An application support engineer (ASE) is an IT professional who is responsible for troubleshooting the software applications a company uses and ensuring that help desk tickets are resolved in a timely fashion.
Good to have - Cloud , Microsoft Azure , Java , Middleware technologies, Reference data (Instruments/Securities , Equities, Fixed income , Dervatives, etc.)
Requirements:
Candidate should have a min 7-8 years of experience into Application Production support role.
Having good exposure in Investment Banking / Finance domain
Must have experience into Oracle, Unix and Application/Production support role.
Proficient in Managing Incidents.
Drive Problem Management initiatives and continuous improvement on Volumes and efforts.
Candidate must have good interpersonal skills.
Candidate should be able to collect ad-hoc report / analysis requirements from the stakeholders and respond effectively.
Should be sound in alert and batch monitoring. Good knowledge of following escalation process.
Drive RCA discussion and prepare RCA document to share with Stakeholders
Create Knowledge articles for knowledge dissemination within the team
Involve in building the team actively and mentor juniors (remotely)
Should be effectively Able to take escalations in APAC region and handle client queries.
Candidate must have good communications skills & must be able to interact with vendors & internal application teams.
Candidate should be result oriented and must take task to closure.
Considering the dynamics of the work environment; candidate should be flexible to put in extra hours whenever necessary.
Candidate should be able to work as a team and bring value add to the process.
Candidate should be willing to work in shift patterns including weekends (if necessary)
Should have broad vision of the role.
Must be able to foresee results of task performed.
