Senior Associate, Governance & Control (6 months' contract)

PMG Management Office is the Operating Centre of Excellence for the Product Management Group across all product offerings and asset classes. The team is responsible for Strategic initiatives, new products, change and transformation projects, Governance, Risk and Controls, and Business Management.
In this role, you will be a member of the Governance and Control function, and will support the team in key risk and control activities within PMG. As this is a Regional role, you will be working closely with our overseas colleagues and have exposure to various regulations and operating guidelines.

Main Duties

  • Assist in extraction of transactional data and provide responses/reports for HK Regulated Investment Suitability related requests
  • Support the team in formulating responses related to queries on product risk and investment suitability arising from regulatory feedback or circulars (e.g. MAS, HKMA circulars and consultation papers)
  • Coordinate activities under the Operational Risk Management framework
  • Assist with weekly and monthly reporting of key risk indicators and/or ad hoc reporting of operational risk incidents
  • Analyze existing processes and assist in identifying solutions to improve the controls environment

  • Knowledge in financial products and Private Banking processes
  • Prior experience in financial services within a Risk and Control environment preferred
  • You are degree qualified with at least 1-3 years' experience; preference will be for candidates with strong proficiency in Microsoft office applications. Experience with VBA and Bloomberg is a plus.
