The Test Automation Lead is responsible for the delivery of testing services across Singtel development initiatives where TMO has been engaged. Test Lead is directly responsible for provision of support, oversight and direction to the delivery team working in their assigned service tower, thus providing quality of test delivery.
Through demonstrated technical IT skill and familiarity with historical vendor performance the Test Lead plays a pivotal role in successful delivery through test vendor, thereby ensuring the vendor has the expertise and the capability to deliver testing on schedule and budget. The Test Lead in quality assurance role will ensure that the test solutions delivered meet the technical and commercial needs of IT delivering it on time and on budget.
Build relationship with IT Management -from Production Coordinators, System Owners, and Portfolio Owners etc. and is expected to be aware of high impact issues encountered by their customers and to play an active role in their resolution where necessary.
Perform the hands on testing for the Projects/CRs to maintain the product quality and manage the project milestones and deliverables.
Responsible for ensuring implementation of test processes to be used effectively by the vendor delivery team operating to successfully deliver testing.
Accountable for the quality of both the test deliverables and the test delivery and are expected to liaise with the TMO process function (Delivery manager and process team) to advise where process gaps have been identified and where existing process requires fine tuning.
Interface directly with the TMO Process Team, Singtel IT management, vendors and project teams to fulfil their role in understanding and creating testing best practices in the TMO testing process.
Provision of meaningful metrics from the delivery; these metrics as defined by TMO Management will be used for external reporting, vendor management and for driving continuous improvement in the TMO processes. As with all delivery, the Test Lead is accountable for the quality of the metrics from delivery. The Test Lead will also support effective test vendor delivery through vendor management around SLA, contract adherence and vendor scope, schedule and cost.
Accountable for the conduct of Root Cause analysis for production defects encountered as the result of IT Changes led by their service domains and responsible to release the output of the RCA of production defects to IP Retention Specialist.
Work with the delivery and operational teams to identify required IP and delivery of test services to ensure that TMO Alignment/operational and project delivery needs have been met.
Continually improve the test infrastructure, processes and systems to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of test services.
An IT or related tertiary qualification with considerable Test Management or Test Team Leading experience.
Minimum of 6 years of experience in Testing
Strong Telco/Banking domain knowledge with E2E testing experience
Expert knowledge of quality improvement, quality process, quality assurance methodologies and best practices.
Proven Performance and automation testing experience, within a complex, multi-tiered architecture.
Expert knowledge of test tools and designing technical frameworks. (e.g. HP ALM QC/PC v12.00 or higher, HP Vugen LoadRunner and analysis, HP BAC diagnostics, HP Sitescope, HP UFT, Selenium, Serenity with Cucumber/Ruby/Karate, Jenkins, XCTest and Espresso.)
Familiar with Microsoft and Unix/Linux operating systems.
Good knowledge of Oracle and Microsoft SQL databases.
