We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as Trade Mid Office Manager (GTRF Trainer).

Principal responsibilities

  • The importance of the role is to develop and manage a structured technical training and competency infrastructure for GTRF staff in ASEAN, incorporating all aspects of financial crime compliance to GTRF products to achieve the primary objective.
  • Identifying training need analysis and training design - delivery channels include classroom and on the job training with detailed assessments for all trainee
  • Work closely with peer managers, QA, Sales and Product teams to identify further learning needs and developing training programmes / materials to cover as appropriate
  • Responsible for ensuring that the annual training plan is developed and training is delivered in line with this plan
  • Monitor, track and report training /development plan progress
  • Coach, train, and develop staff, ensuring there is knowledge retention by continuous developing and training staff
  • Is accountable for the effectiveness of the Technical Training with an emphasis on financial crime
  • Ensure training encompass the need to know that all transactions are processed within the appropriate Sanctions and Financial Crime Risks frameworks
  • Design and deliver in-house process training for staff, covering onboarding and BAU training
  • Manage and run the Trade Academy for clients - this role is required to drive the bank's Trade Academy initiative - requires organization of workshops and training session to all stakeholders
  • Proactively assess the training requirements through training needs analysis of immediate, future and potential changes in business demands
  • Support the introduction of new technology / workflows through the development of training programmes and materials
  • Lead and motivate the team where required to meet business objectives, and promote sharing of skills and knowledge
  • Support business initiatives, operational change programs, and implementation of best practices within the broader business
  • Maintain HSBC internal control standards, including the timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators
  • Deliver excellent customer service and provide top quality trade services and solutions to customers


Qualifications
Requirements
  • University degree in business or related discipline
  • Operational knowledge of trade finance products, policies and procedures
  • In-depth understanding of the GTRF business and processes both technically and from a financial crime perspective
  • Familiarity with Trade systems and has training experience in an operational environment
  • Experience in a customer service environment or related position in a financial services organisation
  • Demonstrated experience and knowledge of all products and propositions in GTRF
  • Thorough appreciation and understanding of FCC risks and controls applicable to GTRF
  • Understanding of internal control, risk management (operations), and quality audit parameters
  • Experience in creating curriculum, presentations and facilitator guides.
  • Computer literacy (word processing, spreadsheets and database applications)
  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to adapt in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
  • Must have proven ability to rapidly develop and deploy training solutions to support the business
  • Strong interpersonal, influencing and communication skills
  • Good time management and organisational skills with ability to deliver within tight deadlines
