Position Overview

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Management of Regulatory Changes involving Operations specially on Regulatory Transaction Reporting.
  • Analyze and Assess the applicability of new regulations subject for operations delivery with the review of end to end processes.
  • Preparation of Business Requirements as and when change is mainly on Operations.
  • Coordination with different stakeholders / users / technology to ensure there is proper communication and tracking of issues and timely delivery.
  • Ensure that all new regulations and changes to existing regulations are identified and properly implemented in the bank.
  • Provide assurance that effective processes and controls are in place to manage and perform the Regulatory Reporting tasks.
  • Liaise and work in collaboration with counterparts within and other regions to ensure consistency and harmonization of approval on global issues.
  • Participate in methodology reviews and implementation of any methodological changes
  • Participate in system enhancement IT and support process improvement projects

Experience/Exposure:
  • Minimum 7-10 years operations experience in the banking / financial sector, specifically transaction regulatory reporting.
  • Good understanding of HKMA / MAS / BaFin / US regulatory requirements
  • Subject Matter Expert within the field of relevance e.g. Regulatory, Operations processes.
  • Expert-level analytical skills, flexible regarding production problem solving.
  • Experienced in effectively communicating with and positively influencing stakeholders and team members.
  • Excellent communication skills. Fluent in English.
  • Displays a high degree of control awareness, attention to detail and focuses on providing quality output.
  • A strong team player and ability to work under pressure against tight timelines.
  • The ability to take ownership of process, escalation and client query management.
  • The ability to work in a fast paced banking environment managing multiple priorities.
  • Open minded, able to share information with peers and stakeholders within division and across divisions and regions.

Education/Certification:
  • Undergraduate degree from an accredited college or university
