  • Our team offers comprehensive financial advice and banking services to our clients, providing 360-degree solutions encompassing asset finance and lending to UHNWI and corporates in addition to private, corporate, and investment banking services offered by Credit Suisse
  • As an integral part of Real Assets Lending (RAL), we provide financing for various assets (including commercial ocean-going vessels such as tankers, dry freight and container ships and offshore operations and assets).
  • You will join Structuring & Documentation, which is a small team of specialists within Ship Finance. We are responsible, among others, for handling and structuring sophisticated asset finance transactions and credit facility documentations.
  • You deal with bespoke transactions by way of syndicated and bilateral facilities.
  • Transactional and advisory-related legal advice, guidance and support to Ship Finance.
  • Advice and assistance to Client Coverage and Portfolio Management regarding the structuring, review and negotiation of term sheets, facility agreements and other deal documentation, as well as complex loan restructurings in cooperation with clients, participating banks and external counsel.
  • Supervision of external counsels.
  • Management of legal and compliance-related risks in connection to the Ship Finance business in coordination with the General Counsel Division, Compliance and Credit Risk Management.
  • You have the opportunity to assist with and support legal project work.
  • On a case-by-case basis, you might participate in client meetings

You Offer
You offer:
  • You hold a university degree in Law and are admitted to practice in a Common Law jurisdiction, preferably England and Wales.
  • Having a dual-admission to practice in a Civil Law jurisdiction like Switzerland and/or Germany and/or Greece is an advantage.
  • At least 5 years of professional experience in finance and / or banking gained either in a financial institution or a prime law firm, including corporate, ship and asset finance.
  • Confidence in working within complex multi-functional and multi-jurisdiction environments.
  • You show commitment, together with attention to detail, outstanding organizational skills and flexibility.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and effective communication skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and to manage time optimally.
  • Good skills in MS Office.
  • Proficiency in English (good knowledge of German and/or Greek and/or Mandarin and/or Cantonese is an advantage).
