About our client
Our client is one of the leaders in the insurance sector.

On behalf of our client, Swisslinx is currently looking for a Scala Developer.

This is a permanent role based in Zurich.

Your mission
- Full-stack software engineering
- Development of a risk modelling platform
- Provide data science environments, professional services and custom advanced analytics solutions to internal customers
- Ensuring that the architecture & systems will support the needs of Business

Your background
- University degree in computer science, IT etc.
- At least 3 years relevant experience as a Software Engineer in an application development environment
- Experience with Data Management ( meta-data, quality, efficiency)
- Experience with Agile & DevOps practices
- Technical skills:
Scala, Java, JavaScript, Akka & Play framework
Spark, Python, R, C#, NoSQL DBs
Container systems (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes)
DevOps / CI/CD toolsets (e.g. Atlassian suite, Ansible)
Experience with private / public cloud set-up & services- Good interpersonal, communication skills
- Strong team player in a global environment
- Fluency in English
