Assistant Fund Administrator | Edinburgh | Permanent | £highly competitive + Bonus

Change Recruitment Groups Edinburgh based Asset Manager is looking to recruit an Assistant Fund Administrator for their team that support their North American Funds Operations Department. The successful candidate will  play a key role within the business, providing a high quality accounting and administration service to their US and Canadian Pooled Funds.  They work closely with client servicing, legal and compliance colleagues as well as third party vendors in order to provide the best service for the Funds and their underlying shareholders.

Responsibilities of the Assistant Fund Administrator:

- Provide administrative assistance to all teams within the Department (Fund Administration, Dealing, Regulatory Reporting and Oversight)
- Preparation of regular and ad-hoc reports and presentations to internal and external parties
- Scheduling meetings and minute taking
- Assisting with organisation of travel arrangements
- Assist with the review of data from third party suppliers
- Assist with reconciliations, following up on exceptions as required
- Assisting with the preparation of fees and expenses
- General office administration, e.g. photocopying and scanning
- Assist with team projects and initiatives as required
- Keep abreast of industry news and developments
 
Background of the Assistant Fund Administrator:

- Proven previous administration experience, preferably within a financial services background
- Good team worker with a proactive flexible approach
- Strong attention to detail and ability to deliver work to a high standard of accuracy
- Proven organisational skills, can demonstrate ability to meet deadlines and undertake and manage multiple tasks
- Ability to work under pressure
- Good communication, both written and oral
- IOC, IMC or other investment related qualification    would be a distinct advantage
