Job Description

THE ROLE

As a Senior Depositary Analyst as part of the Depositary department, you will work within the Depositary team, carrying out asset verification, cash monitoring and compliance oversight for investment funds investing in private equity, real estate, infrastructure, renewable energy, forestry, and other asset classes. You will be responsible for administering and managing a portfolio of Depositary clients whilst providing oversight and support to Depositary Analysts, including, but not limited to, asset verification (primarily ensuring that each Client Fund or Fund entity has supplied sufficient information to prove good legal title over the assets it owns), cash monitoring (primarily ensuring all cash transactions are consistent with the Funds operations, and cash balances are reconciled) and compliance oversight (primarily ensuring the Client is complying with all relevant aspects of the AIFMD), understanding the AIFMD legislation and managing and building relationships with clients and other key business areas).

What you'll do
  • You'll ensure each client fund or entity provides sufficient documentary evidence to verify legal title to its assets, supported by a strong understanding of legal frameworks and asset location risks.
  • You'll apply in-depth knowledge of risk factors across asset classes and ensure fund cash flows align with operations, with accurate and timely cash reconciliations.
  • You'll monitor and support ongoing client compliance with AIFMD requirements while managing the associated reporting process and meeting deadlines.
  • You'll act as an escalation point for Depositary Analysts, setting daily priorities to ensure deliverables are achieved and risks are addressed or escalated appropriately.
  • You'll take ownership of delegated responsibilities, proactively identifying improvements, suggesting new procedures, and driving efficiency within the team.

What we offer
  • Comprehensive remuneration and pension: motivating financial packages based upon market rates for your role and is proportionate to your qualifications, level of experiences and skills profile
  • Wellbeing: additional social benefits such as private health and dental cover, life assurance, discounted gym membership, eye test and corporate GP
  • Annual leave: our employees are entitled to 25 days paid leave plus all UK public holidays
  • Enhanced maternity and paternity, including shared parental leave and adoption leave
  • Flexible working: we recognise the value of working flexibly and want to ensure all employees enjoy an excellent work-life blend. As such, we are open to conversations with employees related to setting up flexible working arrangements.

Qualifications

ABOUT YOU
  • You have experience working in a finance-based role within a dynamic, proactive financial services environment, with desirable knowledge of AIFMD and Depositary functions
  • You bring experience with collective investment schemes, ideally including Private Equity, and are confident in reading and interpreting fund and legal documentation.
  • You demonstrate a strong understanding of cash reconciliation processes and the key principles of a robust control environment and regulatory compliance.
  • You are adaptable and flexible in your approach, maintaining a calm, practical mindset when working under pressure.
  • You are proficient in Microsoft Office applications and are willing to travel as required to support business and client needs.
