We are currently partnering with a fast-growing FinTech provider in the North West, whose technology underpins the product lines for one of the largest Banking organisations in the world. An excellent opportunity has arisen for a passionate Senior IT Helpdesk Analyst to join their Service Delivery team and help deliver top quality IT services to all users and customers. This is an exciting new position to introduce support at our Birkenhead office working alongside the London Service Delivery team.

This individual will provide 1st Line Service Desk support to both the Birkenhead and London offices consisting of Desk Side Support, Sys Admin, Incident Triage and Request Fulfilment. 


Core Responsibilities:


  • Triage, investigation and resolution of Service Requests and Incidents.
  • Provide IT support for Desk-side / End User Computing
  • Run reports and applications to a schedule throughout the day
  • Carry out functional escalation of tickets within Service Delivery when there is no known first time fix or resolution
  • Monitor system alerts and investigation, action, escalation as required
  • Issue all user and management level Incident and Informational communications
  • Proactively escalate to management tickets due to breach SLA or have potential to cause significant customer facing impact


What skills they are looking for:


  • At least 4 years’ experience in Service Desk support, ideally for a Corporate organisation
  • ITIL Foundation Qualification
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Able to plan, organise and manage high-volume workloads
  • Able to quickly troubleshoot desktop / laptop hardware and software problems
  • Proficient in Windows Operating Systems including Windows Domain Services (Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, etc)
  • Exposure to Virtualisation (Vmware, Citrix)


Desirable Skills:


  • Knowledge of Basic Networking (switches, routers, TCP/IP)
  • Knowledge of Powershell Scripting, SQL/Relational DB knowledge
  • Proficient with Office 365 Exchange
  • Financial Services or Banking experience
