Job Description

This role is a key model development role - designing and implementing solutions in Prophet models based on customer requirements. You will be required to:

• Understand requirements from other areas of the business and design model solutions

• Develop efficient model changes in line with our coding standards with consideration to the impact that the changes will have on downstream processes

• Test those changes ensuring all impacts are understood and justified

• Communicate effectively to stakeholders

• whilst ensuring overall compliance with our model change control process

You will be working in a team environment to support the delivery of many changes in the overall model release, and will play a part in the overall management of that release.

You'll be either a nearly or newly qualified Actuary or someone who has made sufficient progress through exams before building experience of modelling.

You'll have good knowledge of and ability to apply actuarial concepts and techniques and the ability to identify key or unexpected outputs and investigate underlying issues.

The ideal candidate will have Actuarial Model Development experience and must have excellent Microsoft excel skills. Strong VBA skills would be an advantage.

You'll have strong written and oral communication skills and be able to communicate complex actuarial information to non-actuarial stakeholders.

You'll work well within a team as well as being capable of managing your own time
