Here at Lloyds Banking Group we are recruiting a Pensions Finance Manager to be based in our Bristol office.

Our pension schemes are amongst the largest in the UK, both by assets under management and membership. Robust financial control and risk management of operating costs and investment management fees is essential, to both the Group and our pension scheme trustees.

The Group Pensions Team sits within the Group Reward Centre of Excellence, in the People & Productivity division. You'll be joining us in this new role, which has been created to support the Pension Scheme Trustees. Your primary responsibility will be managing the Scheme's fund accounting and reporting processes.

You'll report directly into the Chief Finance Officer and will be supported by the Pensions Fund Accountant. You'll also work closely with the Financial Controls Manager in our team, to ensure a robust control environment is maintained at all times. And there'll be plenty of opportunity to represent the team in one of the many change initiatives underway, across the wider Pensions team.

Your accountabilities will include:

* Managing the production of annual report and financial statements in accordance with the Pensions SORP for all Group schemes
* Production of asset reporting to the Chief Investment Office and Group Corporate Treasury
* Investment-related tax accounting and settlement activity
* Managing the supplier relationship with our third party financial accounting provider

You'll be the subject matter expert for investment accounting and the main point of contact for Scheme administrators, custodians and auditors.

As this is a highly technical role, we need you to be a Qualified Accountant with significant experience in the pensions sector.

Your expert knowledge of pension accounting will be coupled with well-honed relationship management skills, to effectively manage the Scheme's third party suppliers and relationships with internal colleagues.
