My client a Tier -1 Bank with operations all over the globe is currently recurring for an Assurance Business analyst (MI/Business analyst) to join them on a permanent basis in Coventry. You’ll be joining their Chief Controls Office helping them improve the internal controls of the organisation. This is a very interesting role that will give you exposure to a number of areas of the bank, giving you a diverse experience within the organisation.

Skills

  • Excellent MI knowledge and or background
  • Excellent Business analyst experience
  • Proven experience of influencing Stakeholders including briefings and presentations
  • Experienced in dealing with multiple stakeholders in different business functions who have different objectives

Responsibilities

  • Drive and continuously improve the operating model for Chief Controls Office through optimised control and assurance processes in order to ensure business excellence in controls. Support the triage of incoming demand on the team and ensure appropriate action is undertaken and governance is in place around those actions. Reporting of these activities as well as the wider CCO story and plan.
  • Supporting the delivery and embedding of the Enterprise Risk Management Framework across UK
  • Focussed on the co-ordination/oversight of Policy & Standard delivery into UK working with stakeholders across Group, UK and SME’s within UK and the function
  • As part of the above run key governance processes for BUK including the Key Risk (KRAS) evaluation process
  • Manage relationships with Key Risk Owners and Delegates across UK and the Functions
  • Support/lead in trouble shooting and unlocking key business issues, making sense out of ambiguity and drawing on knowledge of the function and other group wide initiatives to make sound judgements
  • Support in the development of the UK CCO Strategy in driving, steering and implementing the new Personal Banking Risk Frameworks from emerging Group Transformation projects and Executive Level reporting
  • Impact assessing demand for UK CCO and ensuring that it aligns with the scope / remit or UK CCO’s operating model to ensure that UK CCO meets its strategic goals and the demands of its customers
  • Support the management of the internal governance of UK CCO, including project portfolio governance and reporting, tracking of progress and managing key meetings and interventions
  • Work with stakeholders e.g. Risk, Compliance, Audit and Business Area Managing Director’s to ensure that there is adequate governance around implementing new risk and compliance policies and procedures. Conducting current state assessments, presenting findings and recommendations, negotiating changes in control SLA’s and leading implementation plans
