Service Introduction Lead - Dunstable - £460 per day


A multinational company have a new opportunity for a contract Service Introduction Lead, to provide Service Design and Transition expertise to support their 19/20 portfolio delivery.

You will report directly to the Head of IT and will be responsible for managing a team so previous experience leading a team is essential.


  • Report directly to the Head of IT and will be responsible for managing a team so previous experiecne leading a team is essential.
  • Lead and manage the various service team functions in the areas of application support
  • Point of escalation and coordination for the service management teams
  • Working with the head of IT Service and Operations to build a set of shared objectives and principles for service operations
  • Day to day liaison for the Application support, technical support and Outlet Support team
  • Oversight of the activities of the environment and release management team
  • Management of major incidents
  • Establishing relations with key suppliers and managing these to aid in the successful delivery of IT service

Required Skills
  • Working knowledge and hands on experience of service management processes and procedures
  • Direct experience of managing major incident processes
  • Approachable, enthusiastic and empathic team leader
  • Tenacious, robust in approach and willing to flex into activities that don't fall directly under their direct job description if required
  • Working knowledge of ITIL processes (particularly change management)
  • Ability to work with key/senior stakeholders
  • Ability to work with multiple suppliers
