Working Pattern: Part-Time (3 days per week)
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced sustainability professional to join a leading investment organisation's Private Markets team on a part-time basis.
This role will act as the day-to-day sustainability lead across a portfolio of private equity and infrastructure investments, with a particular focus on renewable energy and energy transition assets. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving sustainability initiatives, overseeing reporting requirements, supporting governance processes, and engaging with internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead sustainability activities across a portfolio of private market investments.
• Manage the collection, validation and analysis of sustainability and impact data.
• Support the development and implementation of sustainability strategies and initiatives.
• Produce sustainability-related reporting for investors, regulators and internal stakeholders.
• Conduct market research and benchmarking against evolving sustainability standards and best practices.
• Support fundraising activities by preparing sustainability materials and responding to investor requests.
• Undertake environmental and climate-related assessments to support reporting obligations.
• Develop and maintain sustainability policies, procedures and governance frameworks.
• Monitor emerging regulatory developments and sustainability trends.
• Work closely with portfolio companies and internal teams to embed sustainability objectives and drive continuous improvement.
Candidate Profile
• Experience in sustainability, ESG, impact, or responsible investment within financial services, infrastructure, renewable energy, private equity, or a related sector.
• Strong understanding of sustainability reporting frameworks and regulatory requirements.
• Knowledge of renewable energy and energy transition markets.
• Experience working with sustainability data, metrics and reporting processes.
• Excellent analytical, research and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
Desirable
• Experience supporting investor reporting and fundraising activities.
• Understanding of governance frameworks, regulatory compliance and risk management.
• Knowledge of climate risk, impact measurement and sustainability-related disclosures.
• Relevant academic background in Finance, Economics, Sustainability, Environmental Sciences, or a related discipline.
