A highly visible role within Invesco Asset Management, performing a key role in providing financial, operating and business insight to enable strategic decision making, planning and forecasting for the EMEA business. Coverage includes supporting the EMEA Head of FP&A on all financial planning and analysis activities for regional sales/distribution activities, with particular focus on leveraging new technology and tools to upgrade reporting capabilities to the EMEA Executive Management team. The role will require interaction with senior business leaders in the Region as well as interface across all FCS teams, including Corporate Accounting.

Job Purpose (Job Summary)
This position is highly visible and performs a key role in providing financial, operating and business insight to enable strategic decision making, planning and forecasting for the EMEA business. Coverage includes supporting the EMEA Head of FP&A on all financial planning and analysis activities for regional sales/distribution activities, with particular focus on leveraging new technology and tools to upgrade reporting capabilities to the EMEA Executive Management team. The role will require interaction with senior business leaders in the Region as well as interface across all FCS teams, including Corporate Accounting. The role will provide ad hoc support to the EMEA CFO and EMEA Head of FP&A on analytics and special projects as required. This is an excellent entry point of for an experienced, qualified accountant to develop a career within a leading global asset manager with a significant EMEA presence partnering with senior business leaders. Some travel may be required within Europe.


 

Key Responsibilities / Duties:

  • Support FCS Business Partnership activities for EMEA including input into growth strategies for this business.
  • Develop, manage and maintain effective and efficient FP&A processes including: management reporting and analysis, with particular focus on sales/distribution - key performance metrics development, tracking and reporting
  • Budget and forecast models, reporting and analysis including the annual budgeting cycle - business insight into Board materials
  • Liaison between the business unit and corporate accounting to facilitate legal entity forecasting requirements
  • Leverage new technology and tools to deliver sophisticated dashboard reporting to EMEA Business leadership. Development FCS Business data subject matter expertise and liaise with PSI.
  • Support global development of profitability models and develop reporting/ analytics.
  • Other duties as needed to provide support across the EMEA business.
  • Ensure all activities are in line with Invesco’s Conduct principles.

 

Work Experience / Knowledge:

  • Previous financial related work experience with a focus on planning reporting and analysis
  • Experience in Financial Services industry and an International business preferred
  • Reporting acumen – defines, incorporates and reports on financial and non-financial key performance indicators
  • Identifies and synthesizes information to create conclusions, insights, options and recommendations
  • Excellent relationship management skills, team spirit and client oriented
  • Ability to leverage new technology and tools to enhance reporting capabilities, including Alteryx, PowerBI and Tableau
  • Very good command of the English language, communicates in versatile, compelling and polished manner.

Skills / Other Personal Attributes Required:

  • Strong sense of business strategy, drivers, flows, markets, trends and risks
  • Potential, ambition and ability to be able to progress into more senior roles within Finance and/or the broader Invesco business
  • Develops and maintains a mastery of systems, analytics tools and data management.

Formal Education(minimum requirement to perform job duties)

  • Chartered accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
