Accountant IV (AIVF) role is accountable to deliver through effective, efficient Sarbanes-Oxley, regulatory compliant finance processes, in accordance with local and consolidated GAAP, useable, accurate and timely financial information from the point of transaction through to financial close and external reporting period (month, quarter, and annual).
The individual in this role may be called upon to support a particular line of business, region, or accounting process, as assigned for any accounting processes from the point of transaction through to the close, consolidation, and financial reporting of business outcomes for enterprise BNYM.
S/he provides support for a wide range of end to end Record to Report (R2R) accounting processes and general ledger events required to transform data into information for reporting purposes.
Minimum Education: Bachelor¿s degree, preferably in accounting or finance; or equivalent work experience.
Minimum Experience: 5+ years of relevant work experience in accounting or finance.
Preferred Experience: 2-5 years accounting experience in financial services preferred (public accounting experience in US).
3-5 years experience working the full accounting cycle from transaction through consolidation and close to financial reporting.
Experience with accounting applications such as PeopleSoft.
Experience with direct customer contact, answering business inquiries.
Mimimum Language Skills: Strong written and oral communications skills in English."
The HM is looking for the below skills:
i) liquidity delegated act (LCR/ALMM/PRA110 return experience)
ii) Data mapping and business analyst type skills (less need for PMO type skills)
iii) Financial and liquidity reg reporting implementation experience (ideally Axiom, but also any).
