Business Conversion Manager - VP Middle Office Conversions

Responsibilities:
  • The individual will work in and manage a team responsible for delivering new clients onto the State Street Middle Office platform
  • The individual and his team will be responsible for data analysis, and data conversion of new State Street Clients to an in-house Middle Office system
  • Own the data conversion development lifecycle and methodology. This includes requirements analysis, solution design, client acceptance, timeline creation, implementation, unit testing, deployment tools, and maintenance
  • Act as the link between the client and State Street. This includes producing documentation to manage the conversion, Chair meetings, and produce communication both externally and internally as required
  • As part of a team, assist in the creation of a data conversion plan
  • Create and manage a project plan/runbook to convert clients onto State Street Middle Office
  • Create a data map, to map the data legacy systems to the in-house systems using existing functionality and processes
  • Understand the current processes and tools used by State Street, and map new requirements to this tool
  • Interacts with the clients to understand their need
  • Should have domain knowledge and be able to understand the various listed instrument types like Equities, Bonds, Futures, Options, etc.
  • Review inputs and outputs from the conversion process, and communicate issues internally and externally as required
  • Assists in gathering project information by attending meetings where requested, both internally and externally
  • Manages the determination and tracks to the conversion approach and timeline
  • Manages the identification of issues and gaps in data provided or discrepancies in data between legacy presentation and the future state model, and recommend corrective actions
  • Manages the conversion planning and testing of the conversion process
  • Conducts team meetings to ensure that tasks are completing on time and any issues are being addressed in a timely and correct manner.
  • Manages the actual conversion tests and dress rehearsals
  • Manages the actual live conversions onto the State Street platform
  • Ensure key Milestones are met and plans are updated regularly, and communicate to the relevant stakeholders

Minimum requirements:
  • Must have prior experience in Middle office - investment book of records / Record keeping systems, setting up static data and expertise in data migration projects performing data integrity checks & reconciliations
  • Must be detail oriented
  • Must be able to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Must have strong networking skills to assist in pulling together individuals from key areas
  • Must have strong communication skills
  • Must have the ability to manage teams (onsite - offshore model)
  • Should be able to deliver in a correct and timely manner
  • Must have the ability to interact with external clients and understand their needs
  • Should have negotiation abilities
  • The team operates a flexible working approach, with work from home opportunities and capabilities
  • Ability to work on multiple projects concurrently and prioritize work accordingly
  • Strong user of the Microsoft Office Suite of products including Microsoft Project & Power point
