The successful candidate will lead projects end to end within the Global Investment Banking Technology group. Projects will be wide and varied mainly focusing on the end to end Deal process from marketing through to Deal closure. The variety of projects will expose the candidate to multiple senior stakeholders, multiple technologies and areas of the business and will enable career growth within the team. Experience within Financial Services is strongly preferred.

The responsibilities of the role include:

  • Acting as Product Owner Proxy and guiding Business Stakeholders through Agile software development processes
  • Facilitating requirements gathering, solution design, software development and acceptance activities
  • Present and gain acceptance of solutions to business and technology stakeholders
  • Identify opportunities to optimise business processes, strengthen business controls and improve Banker efficiency
  • Ongoing engagement with a diverse range of middle-office and front-office stakeholders
  • Managing an active application portfolio of products that support the Global Investment Banking controls programme
  • Quarterly portfolio planning and project delivery; annual planning and product roadmap development
  • Collaborate with technology peers in order to deliver cross-platform solutions as needed
  • Supervision/coaching of junior Business Analyst
  • Work with Business Stakeholders to define new business processes, working practices, ensure solution readiness and develop necessary training materials
  • Providing ad hoc consulting services for special projects
  • Other activities and projects as required including incident and problem management

In addition, you must possess the following attributes:

  • Experience working with front office organisations
  • Experience working in a global virtual team environment
  • Experience in software development using Agile principles and practices, preferably Scrum
  • Quick learner with strong attention to detail
  • Strong work ethic, self-starter who is creative with a 'can-do' attitude
  • Excellent quantitative and analytical problem solving skills
  • Experience defining and executing Test Strategies, Test Plans, conducting or facilitating System, Integration and Acceptance testing
  • Strong communication and presentation skills - ability to translate complex business problems and solutions into easily consumable content
  • High-level proficiency in MS-Office products (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
  • High-level proficiency in confluence and mock-up tools such as Balsamiq
  • Ability to execute multiple projects simultaneously and independently
  • Ability to engage with multiple regional and product specific stakeholders of the same application
  • Professional maturity, personal integrity and polished interpersonal skills
  • Ability to receive and act upon feedback
  • Deep technical background; must be able to engage and challenge architects/developers and participate in detailed design discussions
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Finance, Business or related field of study

All internal moves will normally take place on the same grade and same salary. Salaries are reviewed annually in February. Exceptions to the rule regarding transfer on current salary may include a move between geographic locations.
