Department Summary

Within Wholesale Payments, Treasury Services (TS) -- the world's largest cash management provider -- moves, safe keeps, concentrates and invests client money, and provides trade finance solutions. Position Summary

Candidates must be able to demonstrate extensive experience in a similar role at this level / background in Project Finance and Infrastructure.

As part of its continuous support to clients, J.P. Morgan is developing a new global product proposition dedicated to the project finance space. Reporting into the global head of escrow services and account bank, the candidate will have i) excellent industry experience to contribute to the product design and development; ii) leadership skills and creditability to work closely with the rest of the Treasury Services product organization and functional partners to develop the new value proposition; and iii) ethics and mind-set to act as a business owner.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the definition of the product proposition, launch, running and BAU management of J.P. Morgan Project Finance Account Bank acting as Subject Matter Expert globally
    • Conduct analysis of market, competitors and client data to identify potential changes in strategy within a defined risk appetite
    • Devise ways to automate and improve business processes
  • Lead and own the Project Finance agenda end-to-end, actively partnering with origination (Infrastructure Advisory Group, Global Corporate Bank, Investment Bank, Commercial Bank sales), service (implementations and operations), other products (liquidity, escrow, account services) and staff functions (treasury, finance, compliance, and risk)
  • Be ultimately responsible for the product P&L and act as a business owner developing and implementing strategies and initiatives to drive revenue and profit for Project Finance Account Bank, balancing firm objectives with client satisfaction
    • Ensure accurate and timely recognition of revenue and expense
  • Contribute to regular business reviews examining progress against key priorities, and present to the management team
  • Coordinate compliance and regulatory-related risk reviews of Project Finance products and clients


Qualifications/ Experience/Background

  • Demonstrated ability to lead and organize cross-functional teams to execute on high-impact projects and drive new business initiatives
  • Ability to define and drive projects proactively and independently, and juggle multiple deliverables simultaneously across various geographies
  • Focus, work ethic and ability to closely work with partners across various time zones in APAC, EMEA and Americas
  • Advanced quantitative ability and knowledge of Microsoft Excel; experience analyzing large complex data sets, and developing conclusions and practical recommendations
  • Inquisitive nature with strong problem solving and critical thinking capabilities
  • Strong communication skills, including ability to convey complex ideas simply
  • Effective interpersonal skills ability to build relationships with functional partners inside and outside Escrow Services
  • Able to demonstrate extensive experience in a similar role at this level / background in Project Finance and Infrastructure.
