Experienced Agile focused Cloud Architect required to work on a range of exciting projects through Financial Services, Commodities, and more. Solid experience with Cloud and DevOps technologies such as AWS, Azure, Docker, Kubernetes, Mesos, Ansible is a must, and any experience on the BigData side is highly desireable.

An award-winning organisation with offices in Central London, who work on a variety of exciting projects through numerous sectors including Financial Services, Commodities, Retail, Media, are currently looking for talented Cloud Architects to join the team.

The successful Cloud Architect will be working in a highly collaborative environment and be hands on' in designing and building scalable, resilient Cloud based solutions for some well-known brands. You will be the technical authority, and be responsible for all technical aspects of the projects you are involved with.

The successful Cloud Architect will be either a Senior/Lead Engineer (with some Cloud Architecture experience) looking to take the next step into Architecture, or a seasoned Cloud Architect who is passionate about technology and thrives on delivering top tier solutions.

Essential skills of the Cloud Architect

  • Deep knowledge of Cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, Google, OpenStack
  • Solid understanding of Agile
  • Software engineering background
  • Experience with languages such as Java, Python, Go, Scala, Node, C# etc..
  • Good knowledge of RDBMS's
  • Passionate about technology and delivering cutting edge solutions
  • Strong communication and client-facing skills

Desirable skills

  • Experience with DevOps tech - Docker, Kubernetes, Puppet, Terraform, Mesos
  • Experience with NoSQL - MongoDB, Redis, Cassandra, Riak
  • Experience with BigData tech - Hadoop, Spark, Hive, Solr
  • MSc degree or higher in Computer Science or similar
