Our client a market leading global alternative investment firm, has an exciting opportunity for a "Corporate & Distressed Credit Deal Support & Operations". The firm invests across a broad array of geographies, segments, and asset types, to include real estate, corporate credit, mortgages, speciality finance and transportation. There are eighty people in London, and 220 people spread across US and Asia.

Our client a leading global alternative investment firm, has an exciting opportunity for a "Corporate & Distressed Credit Deal Support & Operations". The firm invests across a broad array of geographies, segments, and asset types, to include real estate, corporate credit, mortgages, speciality finance and transportation. There are eighty people in London, and 220 people spread across US and Asia.

The "Corporate & Distressed Credit Deal Support & Operations", will play a key role in supporting Global Traded Credit investment team.

  • The individual will have coverage across Middle Office and Liquid Operations, and have responsibility for investment accounting. These activities will extend across Corporate and Traded Credit Investments, to include distressed restructurings and debt settlements.
  • Involved in investment accounting covering ABS, trade claims, MSR's (mortgage servicing rights), restructures, pay downs and factor changes. In addition to reconcile data using data warehouse, trading counterparty platforms and Geneva (accounting) for reporting.
  • Working in a first line of defence role with internal and external stakeholders, to include traders, banks, agents, asset managers, and trading counterparties. There will also be visibility across investments and business operations.

The ideal individual will have the following;

  • Undergraduate degree in a numerate discipline, ACA/ACCA qualified from a reputable practice with some post qualified experience
  • Experience working in a hedge fund, asset manager or Global Bank is important. Computer literacy is key, experience in Geneva (accounting) is preferred
  • Knowledge of Bloomberg and SQL is preferable though not essential
  • Distressed debt product knowledge is desirable, though the client will train the individual on these products
  • Fund Accounting or Trade Support background with exposure to generating P&L would be ideal
