Tradition is the interdealer broking arm of Compagnie Financière Tradition and one of the world's largest interdealer brokers in over-the-counter financial and commodity related products. CFT is represented in over 28 countries, employing over 2,500 people.

Tradition is currently seeking to appoint a temporary Credit Controller / Accounts Receivable individual for a 6 month period to be based within the London office.

Main responsibilities within the Credit Controller / Accounts Receivable position include:

Shared collection of client debt for TFS Derivatives (Equities)
Reconciliation of outstanding debt from both AS400 reporting and online access leading to maintenance of cash books
Daily closing and reconciliation of the TFS cashbooks with Bankline
Monthly closing off and setting up of the TFS cash books
Accurate allocation and posting of cash received
Target oldest / largest debt attributed to individual banks / clients
Reporting to Credit Committee
Understanding of AS400 sales ledger
Discuss issues with clients, reason for debt, possible escalation with both our / their management
Maintain excellent client and internal relationships
Monthly delivery of invoicing for distribution
Maintaining monthly filing system
Liaison between other Tradition entities
Liaising with brokers and clients over brokerage disputes
Daily checking of debtor postings to the GL
General administration duties
Any other reasonable duties

Key skills, experience and competencies required to be successful in this role:

Financial Services experience
Good Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Good Literacy and Numeracy skills (GCSE in Maths and English desirable)
Good Communications skills both verbally and written
Good Time Management skills
Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role
Good experience developing productive relationships
Understanding of equity products
Audit experience & ability to help improve internal controls desirable
Good inter-personal skills
Knowledge of AS400 system beneficial
Data Inputting
Ability to communicate at the highest level
Retain a professional level under pressure
New process implementation would be an advantage
