Director of Global Alternatives Product Strategy Investment Management London £110,000 - £130,000 Job Description The Director, Alternatives Product Strategy is an important role designed to drive our agenda in an important growth area for the firm. They are intended to serve as an expert in the aspects of institutional and retail product construction in this market and more quickly drive our ability to leverage successes in the This relevance will be measured by commercial success.
Role and Responsibilities:
Works closely with GTM, ID and product marketing to manage the product line-up for a large-scale business line or region, including:
*Serving as the market expert; closely tracking trends and developing a strong POV on the firms product development priorities in the area of alternatives
*Enhancing existing products to create broader commercial appeal; test the expectations of the firm with respect to product performance relative to competitive universe.
*Working with the regional product teams, drive product development agenda list based on short, medium and long-term opportunities in a way that aggressively drives alignment with the approaches taken in other regions.
*Collaborating with the product development execution team, product management and investments on key design elements of new products including portfolio guidelines, fees and share classes and/or vehicles
*Leading the ongoing review and proposals around products that should be decommissioned
*Creating the annual prioritization and focus list for the sales force; evaluating impact and suggests modifications to sales and product management on a formal and informal basis
*Drive Global Product themes that are highly relevant for specific regions
*Following closely product development initiatives in other regions or channels and determines applicability

Qualifications

*A minimum of 10 years of experience in the investment-management industry or related experience
*A superior understanding of the institutional and/or retail marketplace
*Detailed experience in alternatives product design
*Deep awareness of competitor offerings in the alternatives space
*Broad investment-management and financial-market knowledge
*A team player and strong leader with highly developed interpersonal skills
*Highly confident with strong influencer skills-must be able to guide the most senior leaders of the firm
