Finance Risk & Controls Manager - Insurance
An exciting opportunity to join a leading general insurance business as the Finance Risk & Controls Manager joining a team of experienced peers in the delivery of controls scoping & risk assessment activity, ensuring appropriate engagement and support for development & implementation of controls in the project environment, process walkthroughs and talk throughs, delivery of independent assurance activity, including design and operational effectiveness testing and assessment of control issues.
The role provides an opportunity to help upskill the Finance community in understanding what a good control environment looks like and to emphasise the role that they have to play in this regard.
Skills & experience ideally required:
- Recent audit experience (external audit or internal audit)
- Experience and knowledge of life or general insurance
- Risk and controls delivery experience, including SOx and internal risk management
- Relationship management skills to achieve objectives through others and maintain effective relationships across both the businesses/markets and external suppliers
- Effective influencing skills with people at all levels internally and externally with the ability to build credible working relationships
