A growing Technology Services business that has trebled in size in the last 2 years is looking for a Financial Controller. The Financial Controller will report into the Finance Director and will also gain a significant amount of exposure to the co-founders of the business. The Finance Director is looking for his No. 2 to really take ownership of the finance team and lead them through this period of exciting growth.
This is a highly acquisitive business having recently completed 2 acquisitions in 2019. They continue to impressively navigate the global pandemic and are on the verge of potentially adding two more acquisitions to their Group in the coming months. The Financial Controller will play a key part in any future acquisitions in terms of both the due diligence and the post-acquisition integration work.
The Financial Controller will take full ownership of all of the core accounting and finance processes and support the Finance Director with financial planning and commercial activities. There is an expectation that this individual will have the desire to drive through a range of improvements in processes, systems and the quality of reporting. Therefore, prior experience of implementing new processes and ways of working is very much preferred.
The ideal profile would be a qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent) with 3-4 years post-qualified experience. Demonstrable experience of line management and implementing new processes is essential as well as being able to demonstrate broad, all round accounting experience. This would be a fantastic role for someone looking to step up from a Finance Manager role to a No 2 position or someone who has already been a No 2 but looking to move to a more dynamic, growing environment.
Experience in Technology, IT Services or another B2B environment would be beneficial.
