Market Job Description

Responsibilities include:
  • Supporting preparation of financial and regulatory reporting, with appropriate review and controls, including
    • Bank of England Reporting
    • COREP
    • US Regulatory Call Reporting
  • Issue Remediation
    • Identification of reporting issues and root cause
    • Engagement with relevant departments to address root cause, to facilitate remediation
  • Develop line of business, product knowledge and system subject matter expertise within the team to effectively support new initiatives, mitigate BAU issues as they arise and enhance BAU reporting
  • Enhance existing journal processes to populate regulatory reporting systems
  • Partner with team to further enhance the control environment
  • Actively support financial reporting and control developments to enable the International Controller to meet developing regulatory and statutory obligations
  • Drive continual improvement in processes
  • Assist the International Controller Team on ad hoc tasks and projects as required to meet wider team goals

Market Skills and Certifications

  • Qualified Accountant with significant experience in financial and regulatory control and reporting in a financial services firm.
    • US regulatory reporting experience an advantage
    • Bank of England statistical reporting experience an advantage
    • COREP experience an advantage
  • Degree educated
  • Strong excel skills
  • Intuitive; Fast learner
  • Works well within a team
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently within a team structure
  • Good problem solving skills
  • Good time management & organisational skills
  • Good communication skills
