The Role:
Regulatory Reporting
- Monitor capital and liquidity adequacy at all times in all regulated entities.
- Ownership of reporting for the UK and Europe regulatory consolidation group
- Take ownership of financial regulatory returns, planning for upcoming regulatory changes and ensuring that all returns are completed accurately, in a timely manner and in accordance with best practice.
Statutory Reporting
- Produce monthly consolidated financial statements as required within the group structure on timetable and in accordance with best practice.
- Responsible for sections of the external statutory and non-statutory audits.
- Ensure that all SOX controls are adhered to and documented to the required level
- Prepare financial reporting requirements for the ultimate parent entity on a timely basis
- Ensure that all technical accounting issues arising within the group are addressed in a timely manner and liaise with internal/external parties as appropriate (e.g. business units, actuaries).
Project Accounting
- Provide technical and commercial accounting expertise for projects such as new products, M&A activity, entering new jurisdictions etc.
Regulatory Responsibilities
- Adhere to the FCA's Conduct Rules, understanding that they set basic standards of good personal conduct.
Requirements:
- You must be a fully qualified accountant (ACA preferred)
- Significant post qualified experience in investment management or other financial services (min 3 years)
- Up-to-date technical knowledge of relevant accounting standards and best practice
- Consolidation knowledge having ideally come from a Group Accounting function
- Experience of a regulated environment and requirement to prepare and file FCA returns
