Our client is a city-based fund management business with a considerable real estate portfolio. A new role has been created for someone with a real estate fund accounting background, either from a third party administrator or "in-house".

The Role:

  • Prepare all necessary information for scheme and performance reporting and the year-end consolidations
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders including investment managers, tax advisors, administrators and accountants
  • Manage the process of allocations and disallocations of client funds for the portfolio
  • Understand the investments held within the portfolio, implement controls and procedures to ensure accurate accounting
  • Responsibility for debt reporting across the portfolio
  • Assist in the day-to-day financial management of structures holding real estate assets including production of the quarterly management accounts
  • Preparation of annual financial statements

Requirements:

  • You must have relevant fund accounting experience, ideally in real estate or other alternative investments
  • This experience could come from a third party adimistrator or an "in-house" fund accounting role
  • Accounting qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) preferred but not essential
