POSITION

Description

Working closely with the cross-functional groups that support the WMF business, the Governance Analyst will contribute significantly to WMF's governance obligations, agendas and reporting, with primary focus on the WMF funds, domiciled in Luxembourg and Ireland.

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Ensure adherence to applicable laws, regulations and codes
  • Develop and maintain governance policies, procedures and best practices
  • Ensure timely production, collation, qualitative review and distribution of materials
  • Effect board and senior management appointments, inductions and evaluations. Assist with board member training
  • Point of contact for all board related matters, build and maintain relationships with WMF's board and committee members (internal and external)
  • Manage external corporate secretarial service providers
  • Provide corporate secretarial and other support for all WMF's board, committee and shareholder meetings
  • Provide governance support in the preparation and filing of fund related documentation (e.g. financial statements)
  • Complete commercial registry and regulatory returns and ongoing notifications and confirmations
  • Maintain records, registers, databases and signature lists
  • Assist in the implementation of regulatory changes
  • Monitor industry developments on governance
  • Lead/participate  in projects and working groups on governance related changes and issues


Requirements:
  • Five+ years of relevant professional experience, including experience in governance of UCITS funds
  • Strong academic credentials (qualified ACIS)
  • Solid understanding of investment management/fund business
  • Demonstrated analytical and writing skills
  • Effective communication and relationship management skills
  • Ability to multi-task, identify, research and resolve unfamiliar issues
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to prioritize multiple projects/issues
  • Attention to detail
  • Self-starter with the ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
