The Role:
We’re seeking a strategic and pragmatic Head of Group Financial Reporting to control and review the preparation of our statutory accounts and Group consolidated financial statements. Taking overall responsibility for all financial transactions and accounting matters, you’ll lead a small but specialised team to manage our tax affairs, holding company account and company legal entity. This will include preparing the monthly reconciliation of statutory and management accounts, identifying and managing any financial risks and ensuring internal and external audit processes run smoothly (including supporting the move to working with a ‘Big 4’ consultancy as we continue to grow). To ensure the smooth running of the department, you’ll ensure all Group accounting policies and the accounting manual are kept up-to-date, and proactively identify opportunities to support the continuous improvement of our internal controls and reporting systems. Working closely with the Head of Group Financial Planning & Analysis, you’ll ensure the seamless interaction between our backward- and forward-looking financial information, and liaise with our Head Office in India to provide relevant information and reports. In this European-level role, you’ll help prepare the broader European organisation for Tax audits (including VAT and Corporate Tax), as well as ensuring our Income and VAT tax compliance. In addition, you’ll manage our transfer price processes and all related compliance requirements.

The Person:
As a qualified accountant (ACCA or ACA) with significant post-qualification experience in a similar senior-level role, you’ll have demonstrable experience of consolidation accounting, including applying IFRS standards for an organisation. You’ll have worked in a fast-paced multinational manufacturing company (pharmaceutical or FMCG), ideally with some experience working with SAP systems, and also have experience working either at or with a ‘Big 4’-level consultancy. You enjoy managing a team, knowing how to motivate and get the best from them, along with driving performance in order to hit company goals and deadlines. Known for your strong communication and interpersonal skills, you’re happy interacting and presenting at all levels and able to navigate cultural differences between Regions. You’re a strong team player, always ready to lend a hand, but equally capable of working on your own initiative. With strong administration and project management skills, you have a strong attention to detail, take a methodical approach to your work, even under pressure, and can multi-task with ease. With excellent numerical, analytical and IT abilities, you’re confident handling large datasets to establish meaning, and well-rounded Excel skills. With a strong commercial acumen, you enjoy working in a fast-paced and changeable environment, with a good understanding of business priorities and processes.
