Our client is a fast expanding, top performing boutique asset manager based in the City offering an ethical proposition to investors. An opportunity has been created for an experienced investment operations specialist with process improvement experience to move into a business analyst position.
To be considered, candidates will have a minimum of 2 years investment operations or business analysis (project coordination & delivery) experience gained in an investment management firm with a passion for change to support the Operations Manager in providing operational support and change across the business to include supporting business requirements, initiating process improvements and producing project deliverables.
Initially working in a supporting Business Analyst role, training will be provided to assume responsibility for the day-to-day Bloomberg activities (monitoring the Bloomberg Order Management System compliance Administration rules including coding rules and reviewing violations), escalating issues to the Operations Manager and Bloomberg Relationship Manager.
Your responsibilities and exposure will be wide ranging and will include leading operational projects, improving processes, documenting business requirements and alongside the Operations Manager, reviewing the current operating model.
Candidates will demonstrate an understanding of post trade work-flows and corporate actions. Those candidates with some exposure to coding of compliance rules and investment restrictions in an Order Management System (OMS) will have a distinct advantage however this is not essential.
It is essential candidates will be inquisitive by nature with a huge appetite to evolve within a technical business analyst capacity. In addition, candidates will be degree educated, will come from an investment management firm from either an investment management operations or projects related role.
