The front office credit analyst assists the Coverage team with new and existing transactions including structuring, and negotiating credit analysis, documentation review. The primary role of the front office credit analyst is to uphold the first list of defence so that the banks risk and its assets are managed in line with procedures at all times. Primary products cover vanilla Syndicated and Bi-Lateral Loans (inc M&A), Derivatives (Swaps, FX), Trade Services and Leasing.
This is a front office credit analyst position to assist the Coverage team with new and existing transactions including structuring, and negotiating credit analysis, documentation review.
The primary role of the credit analyst is to uphold the first list of defence so that the banks risk and its assets are managed in line with procedures at all times.
Primary products cover vanilla Syndicated and Bi-Lateral Loans (inc M&A), Derivatives (Swaps, FX), Trade Services and Leasing.
Duties will include:
- Preparation of good quality and succinct credit applications including financial analysis, projections, industry & peer analysis in order to recommend the correct obligor & facility grade to the Head of Credit.
- Review of junior credit analysts work to ensure quality of credit is of a high standard and meets all regulatory requirements.
- Review of loan/ISDA terms & conditions to ensure that the banks risk is minimised wherever possible.
- Maintaining good stakeholder engagement with key partners around the organisation, particularly Relationship Managers & Credit Department to facilitate the smooth process of the credit approval process.
- Support the Head of Credit Special Credit Reviews in order to minimize risk
- A good n spread the following sectors, Oil & Gas, Mining, Pharma, Manufacturing, TMT, REITS, Utilities, Retail, Business Services & Consumer.
- Established product knowledge, syndicated loans, Bilterals, guarantees, Derivatives, Trade Finance & Leasing.
- Past experience of Leverage Finance.
- Strong experience with legal documentation including LMA and bond documentation, ISDAs, CSAs, netting and credit mitigating features.
- Extensive working knowledge of Excel (financial modelling) and Word.
