Inviting applications for the role of Lead Consultant, Java

Responsibilities

In this role, one shall be responsible for designing and developing applications using Java technology framework and SQL as the Database for Manufacturing, BFS and Capital Market client.

  • Liaising with senior team members and clients to precisely specify the functionality that will be developed
  • Developing functionality in an iterative fashion, writing full unit and integration tests for each function that is developed.
  • Working with team members and our partners to ensure that all functionality is fully UAT tested before being released to Production.
  • Continuously improving the quality of our system and codebase via best practices including code reviews and refactoring where necessary.

 

Qualifications
Minimum qualifications

  • BE/B Tech/ MCA/BCA with >5 years’ experience
  • Strong problem-solving skills and programming fundamentals
  • Extensive hands-on experience with Advanced-Java 8+, object-oriented programming and design patterns.
  • Experience of working with Java related frameworks: Spring/Spring Boot/Spring Batch.
  • Good understanding of SOA architecture and middleware technologies Spring/JAXB including protocols like SOAP and REST.
  • Good understanding of various financial instruments and asset classes would be helpful.
  • Self-motivated and can work independently with minimal supervision.

 

Other Desirable Skills:
Candidate should have some understanding of at least few of below:

  • Exposure of working with any UI technologies: Angular, React, etc.
  • Good understanding of TDD/BDD.
  • Exposure of working with cloud native and distributed applications.
  • Some understanding of Databases (DB2 & Sybase)
  • Some understanding of GIT, CI build tools like Jenkins/Teamcity & SDLC Lifecycle.
  • Capable of working in Agile environment.

 

Preferred qualifications

  • Demonstrated delivery experience of Micro services APIs using Springboot, Oracle PL/SQL development and activities like Performance tuning / Optimization.

 

Shift

  • Day/Evening/ Flexible to rotationary shifts- as the candidate may have to work with global teams in different time zones.
