A leading global advisory business is strengthening it's London based M&A team due to a record 2020 and excellent deal pipeline. This is a results orientated business which specialises in creating value and enhancing business performance at all levels.

The team provides advice to a range of stakeholders including corporates, management teams, private equity, hedge funds and lenders and provides a broad range of specialist services - including business disposals, accelerated M&A, acquisition advisory, management buy outs, equity and debt raising, divestitures, refinancings and valuations.

This opportunity would suit someone who combines deal experience, strong accounting and financial skills with sound commercial judgement, and an individual who is comfortable managing transactions on a day-to-day basis and assist in training and developing junior members of staff.                                   

Duties and Responsibilities

• Day-to-day responsibility for overseeing transactions and other projects.  You will be involved in process such as the production of sale documentation, managing communications with potential purchasers and clients, producing and attending management presentations, managing due diligence processes and reviewing and commenting on sale contracts etc
• Managing the production and review of complex financial models for transactions and analysing financial accounts and projections
• Undertaking valuations of businesses using a variety of valuation methodologies and producing valuation reports.
• Conducting negotiations and providing relevant and accurate information
• Involved in business development and assisting the senior team with on strategic plans.
• Playing a key role in the management of the team including resourcing, recruitment and career development.

 

Skills & Background

• You will have accrued Associate to junior VP M&A experience and display a proven track record of managing transactions.
• M&A experience will have been accrued either in a bank, boutique or Big 4 / professional services M&A team.  Prior audit or accountancy (and holding a chartered accountancy qualification) is desirable Approachable and able to relate to people at all levels of the organisation.
