An excellent opportunity to join the London office of a global professional services firm (Big 4) in their M&A team.

Working within the wider M&A practice, a successful candidate will have the opportunity to support and lead deal origination and execution across the following sectors: Built Environment, Consumer Goods & Retail, Diversified Industrials, Healthcare & Life sciences, Support Services, TMT. The role will allow the successful candidate to work on a broad range of domestic and international transactions for corporate, private equity and owner managed clients. The scope of the role will include both execution of transactions as well as origination of new opportunities.

Main responsibilities will include:

* Manage M&A projects (with support from Director/ Partner) including being the day to day point of contact for clients.
* Actively managing client interfaces taking responsibility for managing all phases of the transaction cycle and deal execution.
* Leading and managing the delivery of transaction documentation including pitch materials and client documents.
* Directing and managing colleagues, wider support staff and other external advisers.
* Supervising and reviewing materials prepared by other team members.
* Set, monitor and control M&A project budgets, billing and other reporting requirements.
* Build and develop strong relationships in the market.
* Take responsibility for agreed areas of origination and business development.

An ideal candidate will have significant post-graduation professional experience within M&A advisory, through an investment banking, advisory firm, private equity, M&A boutique or corporate business development background. Proven execution ability and developing origination skills in addition to strong problem-solving skills and an excellent academic background are essential. A bachelor's degree qualification and/or professional qualification would be advantageous. In addition, excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.
