Technology Sourcing Advisory is a key competency within our Technology, Strategy & Architecture service area and an enabler to our strategic client and industry propositions. Our Technology Sourcing Advisory team comprises of over 50 people and helps our clients optimise the value they derive from technology by providing deep skills and expertise in the design, sourcing, transition, management and governance of technology Supply Chains. Your role
Your role will focus on providing expert advice to our clients and playing a key role in Sourcing Advisory engagements. You will have responsibilities for:
•Providing expert insight and advice to our clients, identifying sound and innovative solutions to address their needs
•Working within Programme and Project teams to deliver Sourcing Advisory related activities and value to our clients, from strategy through to implementation
•Understanding the business, technology, vendors and industries in which our clients operate
•Managing vendors and clients in the delivery of sourcing activities or during periods of transition
•Acting as a subject matter expert within Deloitte - supporting our UK and Global capability with your knowledge and experience
•Supporting business and practice development activities relating to our growing Sourcing Advisory capability
•Understanding and contributing to the firm's commitment to creating a more inclusive culture
•Leading in the coaching, mentorship and technical development of other team members For Manager grade, you must have:
•Experience of managing diverse teams within an inclusive team culture where people are recognised for their contribution Your professional experience To qualify for the role you must be able to demonstrate skills and experience in some or all of the following (depending on level):
•Demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced, challenging and varied environment
•Experience and practical understanding of key aspects such as System Integration and Management (SIAM), multi-sourced vendor models, new entrants to the market and their impact on IT supply chains, vendor capabilities, outsourcing and insourcing, and transition
•An understanding of emerging and innovative technologies and their relationship with Sourcing, for example Cloud, and how to source and deliver IT in order to leverage those technologies
•Working across different stages of the Technology Sourcing lifecycle including requirements gathering, RFP development, vendor evaluation, commercial assessment, negotiation and contracting
•Designing vendor management operating models for a client's technology supplier portfolio
•Experience in at least one of the key Technology Sourcing domains: Application Development, Application Maintenance (ADAM), Networks, Data Centres, Cloud, Hosting or End User Computing
•Understanding of IT financial management including business case development, IT cost analysis and reduction, and IT service charging models. Additional desirable experience
Not essential but preferred experience, skills and certifications:
•Formal certification (e.g. CIPS)
•Post-graduate experience - either consulting or in one or more of the following industries: Financial Services, Public Sector (Central and /or Local and Regional Government, Healthcare and Education), Consumer Goods, Retail, Manufacturing, Life Sciences, Energy and Utilities, Telecoms, Media, Technology Your work, your choice
