Description of the Business Line or Department

After nearly 20 years in the vanguard of multi-management, Lyxor has established itself as a privileged partner to some of the biggest names in the alternative management industry. Taking a strictly disciplined approach to risk management, Lyxor offers investors access to additional sources of performance in a transparent, liquid environment, either through its managed accounts platform or through dedicated mandates. Now extended to mutual funds, Lyxor's managed accounts platform is one of the most diversified in the world with more than 300 traditional and alternative funds available in open architecture, through an integrated value chain spanning research, analysis, selection and advice on portfolio management.

Summary of the key purposes of the role

Within the INV department, as part of the Partnership team, more precisely within the Mutual Fund Selection team, the analyst will contribute to funds selection in support of LYXOR and his clients.

• Analyze and follow external funds (including Alternative UCITS funds) and assess them through qualitative and quantitative approaches
• Write ad-hoc reports for internal and external clients
• Expert in your area, you are also able to support, propose and recommend allocations

Summary of responsibilities

• Investment due diligence: quantitative and qualitative analysis of funds (Asset managers and funds history, Investment process, Risk management…)
• Write ad-hoc reports for internal and external clients
• Regular meetings with portfolio managers (presentations, conference calls…) in order to understand their investment philosophy and process, and how they build their portfolios
• Deliver an external fund selection (buy list) matching the strategy of LYXOR or of his clients (top down view) and ensure the best services to final investors needs (bottom up view)
• Suggest innovative investment ideas (sector funds, new asset classes)
• Monitoring and communication about the fund performance
• Satisfy client needs for specific information requests
• Investment consulting
• Sales promoting of the distribution networks worldwide

• Very good analytical and synthetical skills as well as a well-developed ability to adapt
• Very good writing skills in French and English
• Strong interpersonal skills and excellent listening skills
