My client, one of the fastest growing wealth managers in the UK is seeking an approachable, enthusiastic team player, who has banking or stockbroking experience to join their team as an Operations Administrator. Industry exams are an advantage.


Job Description:

The Operations Administrator will be responsible for all aspects of client administration duties including document screening; account opening, account closures, deceased accounts, technical queries (both internal and external) and ad hoc project work.

Main Responsibilities:

Client On-Boarding:

* Screening AML /account applications & associated documents across all types of accounts (including GIA/ISAs/Pensions/OPBs/Trusts etc.)
* Account opening across all systems
* Account opening validation
* Continuous monitoring and maintenance of pending accounts
* Dealing with all Client On-Boarding internal and external queries within the agreed SLA

Client Administration:

* Administration of deceased accounts (including probate valuation requests and book cost adjustments)
* Administration of account closures (including calculation and deduction of closing fees)
* Processing W-8 forms & chasing expired documentation
* Periodic review of provider signatory lists
* Process and check static data amendments
* Initial ISA subscriptions
* Ongoing ISA subscriptions
* Client journal processing and authorisation
* Setting up & checking regular payment / standing orders / income sweeps
* Client receipts and disbursements; input and authorisation
* Deducting charges (Custody, Account Maintenance, Valuation etc.)
* Dealing with all client administration internal and external queries within the agreed SLA

General:

* Identify and suggest process improvements
* Ensure that accurate controls and records are maintained as instructed
* Ensure robust departmental procedure manuals are reviewed and maintained
* Keep abreast of the industry standards and knowledge
* Monitor work levels to ensure accounts are opened and static data changes are within agreed

SLA timelines

* Keep team leader informed of any issues which could result in SLA timelines not being met
* Build and maintain a working knowledge of clients' operating environments
* Assist with the transition of new offices
* Train less experienced team members or new starters
* Support your Team Leader on client initiatives
* Ad hoc projects and other duties as assigned

Specialist/Technical Knowledge:

* Banking or stockbroking experience essential
* Knowledge of Nominees/Dividends/Corporate Actions
* Knowledge of ISA, SIPP & OPB accounts
* Knowledge of taxation and banking procedures
* Industry exams an advantage
* Excellent knowledge of Microsoft packages, especially Word & Excel
