In this role you will need to train and look after subordinates within the team. In addition to taking direct responsibility of allocated files, the Portfolio Manager will deputise for the Head of Portfolio Management.


The role:

  • This is an Associate Director level role in the Project Finance Portfolio Management team, looking at transactions in the Infra/Energy space
  • You will need to train, mentor and develop two junior members of the team
  • You will act as the deputy to the Head of Portfolio Management, taking on tasks as required
  • You will take direct responsibility for monitoring the designated portfolio, including preparing waiver requests
  • Liaising with facility agents
  • Preparing annual reviews with the junior support staff
  • Ensure all files are KYC compliant
  • Liaising with the risk department on credit related matters


  • Preparing of annual reviews with junior staff support
  • Ensure all the files under the job holder’s direct responsibility are KYC compliant at all times
  • Liaising with RPC (risk department) for all credit-related matters
  • General monitoring of files and transactional credit profiles
  • Maintaining all portfolio-related systems
  • Providing the sector heads with all relevant information pertaining to files under their sectorial responsibility
  • Where applicable, ensuring that sums due (e.g. fees) are collected and properly accounted for internally

Skills/experience required:

  • Obtained a degree at an established institution
  • A minimum of 5 years banking experience
  • Strong background in credit/portfolio management
  • Financial modeling experience - knowledge of PF financial models
  • Ideally experience in mentoring and developing juniors
  • Sector knowledge desirable - energy, infrastructure 
  • Good team player
  • Pro-active and can work independently
  • Strong time management skills
  • Excellent communication skills
