My client is the global boutique asset manager of a prominent financial services firm boasting impressive performance. A new opportunity has arisen for an accomplished Fund Managers Assistant with considerable trade processing experience to provide dedicated support to Traders and for a multi asset Portfolio Manager. In this role you will act as the first point of contact and knowledge resource for an assigned portfolio of investment strategies.
Experienced FMA's will have a minimum of 4 years relevant experience partnering with Portfolio Managers & Traders gained in an asset management firm or hedge fund . In this role you will partner with the Portfolio Managers & Traders acting as the conduit between Front Office and the business. You will also be accustomed to proactively offering solutions to front office and keeping abreast with your assigned portfolios and investment strategies.
Acting as the conduit between Front Office and the internal investment operations teams, candidates will also demonstrate strong knowledge of the end to end trade processing of Fixed Income and Equity trades to be considered. Candidates who also have trade management experience of Derivatives, MM, FX and/or ETFs will have a distinct advantage.
Working closely with the investment operations teams, you will be responsible for overseeing and monitoring Trade, Position, Cash monitoring & reconciliation requiring strong communication and technical skills. Your system experience may include (however not essential) BlackRock Aladdin, Bloomberg, FXALL and Eagle. Strong Excel skills are essential to include advance use of VLOOKUP's and Macros.
To be considered, it is essential candidates will come from an asset management/buy side firm with a detailed understanding & experience of acting as first point of contact and knowledge resource for an assigned portfolio of multi asset investment strategies alongside practical experience of the full trade life cycle to partner and support Front Office. In addition, candidates will demonstrate a genuine interest in the financial markets and can articulate what fund managers are currently facing.
