Role description

Portfolio Valuation Services (PVS) is a new service line to the UK firm having first been established in New York. It is expected that the product will be rolled out into North West Europe and thereafter Europe and Asia. The team focuses on financial sector clients including; banks, fund managers and distressed / opportunity funds.

PVS is focused on advising clients with regards to valuation of their loan portfolios. The underlying assets can be any type ranging from consumer unsecured, to corporate secured to leasing and of any quality; performing, non-performing, sub-performing. Clients include banks, fund managers and distressed / opportunistic funds.

Clients typically ask us:-

What is the performance of my portfolio and how can I monitor this continuously?
What is the value of my company, loan, and real property portfolio?
What are the value drivers of my portfolio companies and what is the value at risk?
What valuation governance procedures and policies are required and are my procedures up-to-date?

Whether the need for a valuation is triggered by an existing investment, a portfolio acquisition or by tax or financial reporting requirements, estimating value requires objectivity and experience particularly for different or unusual assets.
