The preferred candidate should have a minimum of 5 years of experience in sustainability delivery, with at least 2 years of front-line experience. Expertise should include: Demonstrable experience implementing sustainability initiatives and managing sustainability reporting Commercially minded with ability to identify emerging trends and understand the regulatory framework the company is operating in. Experience of infrastructure investment or portfolio management Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with experience working internationally Knowledge of Sustainability benchmarking systems eg, GRESP Familiarity with EU Taxonomy Regulations Qualities, skills and Experience required Desirable: Familiarity with renewable energy infrastructure Experience in public relations and dealing with external stakeholders
The funds managed include private funds, public funds and managed accounts, each with unique mandates for Sustainability. In addition to this, newly seeded funds having increasing requirements for Sustainability performance. This role will ensure our client continues to meet these existing diverse requirements while also developing good practice for Sustainability in relation to sustainable investing and develop leadership in this emerging investment sector. Responsibilities: Oversight of all the sustainability activities required on the operational portfolio, ensuring compliance and best practice throughout the portfolio, coordinating with the Investor Relations team, the Sustainable Investment team and wider Foresight sustainability activities.
Following their existing Sustainable Investing in Infrastructure approach and Sustainability Evaluation Criteria establish portfolio strategy for sustainability, incorporating diverse fund mandates and international requirements of a global energy and infrastructure portfolio, Develop and implement monitoring and reporting KPIs to effectively communicate sustainability performance against the strategy and SEC, identifying trends and improvement opportunities throughout the investment cycle, Implementing, reviewing and enhancing existing sustainability approaches in accordance with legislative, regulatory and market changes for the entire portfolio of assets, Contribute to the development of the group’s Sustainable Investing in Infrastructure policy, Working across different regions, technologies, and funds to actively improve and implement sustainability practices, Assess and manage sustainability-associated risks and opportunities across the investment lifecycle; from pre-investment due diligence through acquisition, ownership and exit, Support the investment teams as they consider new acquisitions and provide technical guidance on the SEC to support investment decisions, Collaborate with cross-industry experts to identify early trends and good practices to leverage into the portfolio sustainability strategy, Audit projects/ portfolios for sustainability performance and prepare sustainability policy compliance reporting, Compile a library of case studies of sustainability good practices and promote collaboration to ensure prompt sustainability adoption throughout the portfolio, Provide sustainability content for quarterly, interim and annual reports for institutional investors and internal company reports and events, Support Investor Relations, Marketing and fund-raising activities, liaising with investors on new sustainability practices and work to promote the firms' activities across both listed and unlisted funds, Contribute to PRI, GRESB and Global Compact reporting as required, Promote awareness of sustainability activity internally, within the Infrastructure Team and the wider business.
