As part of the Product team the Application Owner will be responsible for owning one of the foundational applications that support the products we offer to customers. Day-to-today the Application Owner will form part of the daily scrum team, ensure product requirements are translated into detailed acceptance criteria for the application

Product Application Owner

Role Responsibilities:

  • Working with development and product teams to estimate work effort throughout different phases of the functional deliverables
  • Define Acceptance Criteria detail, based product requirements and feedback
  • Own the planning and scheduling of application releases in line with the product roadmap and document new features and release notes
  • Support Engineering Managers in sprint estimations and be the point of contact during daily stand-ups, developer question sessions and product reviews
  • Assisting with development of configuration / monitoring / packaging / deployment / automations
  • Identifying, documenting and communicating risks and issues discovered during delivery cycles
  • Define and manage the product application backlog, creating actionable user stories for developers to work on
  • Take a leadership role in the daily scrum, prioritising stories and tasks where required

Key Skills:

 

  • Ability to work closely and effectively with developers and engineering teams
  • Knowledge and experience of the Gherkin language and Cucumber software is highly desirable
  • Excellent planning and prioritisation skills in high pressure environment
  • Experience in product requirement gathering and the Epic / Story / Task method of product iteration and development
  • 1-2 years project management or application owner experience
  • Experience working in Agile / SAFe methodology desired but not mandatory
  • Excellent communicator both written and verbal
  • 3 years’ experience as a business analyst or similiar
